Cynthia Steffe
Cynthia Steffe was born in the 1960's and later on studied at Parsons School of Design, in New York. She left her studies having
won Student Designer of the Year and the Donna Karan Gold Thimble Awards.
Cynthia Steffe worked with Donna Karan and at the house of Anne Klein, before she launched her own label in 1989.
Few major designers ever cater to the mid-teens and early twenties market, but Cynthia's designs definitely met this need, with the ability to be
contemporary with a touch of sophistication.
In addition to her successful design business, Cynthia is a design critic at Parsons and has been a guest lecturer at FIT. She is a member of the
CFDA and has had the distinction of appearing in PEOPLE magazine on their list of the 50 most beautiful people.
Cynthia Steffe shows her collections twice a year during New York fashion week, with a lot of appraisal.
Cynthia Steffe headquarters are on Seventh Avenue in New York. She has recently received financial backing from the Liz Claibourne group.
