Peruvian Connection
Founded in 1976 by Annie Hurlbut, as a refined knitwear and clothing and catalogue order shop, Peruvian Connection today see
themselves and their clothing as 'a celebration of intricate artwork, culture and the very fabric of human existence'. As a brandname,
Peruvian Connection are dedicated to the promotion and the preservation of luxurious textile and designs from South America and the world
over.
Presenting new collections in Spring, Autumn and Winter, their amazingly lush, comfortable and elegant pullovers,
cardigans, jackets, shawls and skirts are the very height of creation for the Andean artisans which are always made from luxury
fibers which were native to the Andes. These include such fibers as silky soft and very rare alpaca wool, the very famous and
luxurious Peruvian pima cotton as well as a great celebration of world ethnographic textiles.
Peruvian Connection are also dedicated to the ideals of "Fair Trade" and have been working closely for the past 30
years with the traditional and local cottage industries in South America, emphasizing the precepts of fair wages, and support for local causes
such as orphanages and centers for disbled children (Aprendamos Juntos, Pro Mujer Peru).
