Pepe Jeans

Pepe jeans was initially set up by 3 brothers in 1973. Originally a market stall on Portobello road in West London, Pepe Jeans quickly became extremely popular and expanded in order to be able to sell in over 30 countries in the world. The name Pepe was chosen because it was a short two-syllable word that could be printed onto cheques more easily.

Pepe jeans are famous for their garment construction which pays particular attention to detail, with highly finished engraved brass buttons and full busted outseams providing a neater flatter appearance and a stronger seam.

Pepe jeans was also the first commercial brand to be able to use Kate Moss as a model for their product. Their 1980 keyrings are today known as a collector's item.
