Miu Miu

Miuccia Prada assumed control of the Milan-based family business in 1978 and turned the House of Prada into one of the most exciting names in the world of fashion.

Her sleek, black nylon handbags created a flurry amongst fashionistas in 1985 and paved the way for her highly acclaimed ready-to-wear collection which was introduced four years later. Prada's very precise, clean lines were embraced by the fashion elite as well as by many celebrities such as Uma Thurman, who turned many heads at the 1995 Academy Awards in a very beautiful and dreamy lavender Prada ensemble.

With a less expensive sister line named Miu Miu, the latter is a younger, fresher, streetwear look at the Prada style. The Miu Miu collection is known for its trendy clothing but also for its accessories, shoes and handbags.
