Designer label Joie all began when Sean Barron, the founder of Katayone Adeli and Joie Rucker, the former Vice President of design for Levis and Guess got themselves together in order to create a fashion label which started a few years ago.

Joie (pronounced the French way) has since then become the world’s hottest and most fashionable new label to wear on your hips - and it has really worked its way to the very top. After their big success, the pair then set out to design a line of special, vintage-look tops, soft washed-out cotton t-shirts and perfect pants. "The fit is key, " says Rucker, whose signature pants have become the LA trendsetters’ style uniform. Styles like the "So Real" cargo jean and the "Breathe loose" fit pants with a drawstring hem which have become the very Joie classics that are updated each season. Joie are also famous for their "Cult Status" trousers.

Some previous hot picks include old school fleece hoodies, overdyed long sleeved T-Shirts and chunky cashmere knits. "We’re always inspired by our customers, " explains Barron.

Celebrities seen wearing Joie clothes include Sarah Jessica Parker, Giselle Bundchen, Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz and Courtney Cox.
